About the role

  • Advisory agent serving Desjardins Ontario Credit Union members with financial products, accounts, transactions and digital tools. Supporting business development, fraud resolution and compliant client service.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome members and clients, listen to and address their needs, and help with financial empowerment
  • Support and advise members and clients on financial products and services and promote available distribution channels
  • Open accounts and assist with financial transactions while offering personalized solutions
  • Identify business opportunities and refer members and clients to colleagues for specialized needs
  • Advise members and clients on digital solutions and technological tools
  • Ensure financial transactions proceed smoothly and address related issues
  • Provide information and support on technological tools, including prevention and safety advice
  • Support members and clients in using applications and technological tools for self-service transactions
  • Contribute to business development and maintain business relationships through service delivery and activities
  • Assist members and clients affected by fraud or irregularities, and monitor and process transactions to settle cases
  • Stay current on standards, products and services
  • Uphold compliance, security and risk management standards

Requirements

  • High school diploma in a related field
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Strong communication skills in both French and English, oral and written
  • Knowledge of counter and convenience products and services
  • Knowledge of Desjardins products and services for caisse members and offerings from business centres, components, distribution networks/channels and competitors
  • Knowledge of integrating data into systems
  • Knowledge of security measures, legal framework and internal controls
  • Understanding of the philosophy and fundamentals of financial services cooperatives
  • Knowledge of operating procedures related to convenience products, services and transactions
  • Knowledge of service standards
