About the role

  • Parts Advisor Apprentice sourcing and managing OEM and aftermarket collision-repair parts. Supporting Toyota Burnaby body-shop repairs through inventory control and supplier coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with identifying, sourcing, ordering, receiving, stocking, and distributing OEM and aftermarket collision repair parts for body shop vehicle repairs
  • Use CDK Drive, iMEX, Mitchell Connect, CollisionLink, PartsBridge, Toyota OEM parts catalogues, and aftermarket supplier websites to identify, source, order, track, and manage parts
  • Verify received parts against repair estimates and purchase orders
  • Work closely with estimators and technicians to ensure required parts are available when needed
  • Coordinate returns, warranty claims, and core returns with suppliers
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory control processes
  • Organize and maintain parts storage areas in a clean, safe, and efficient manner
  • Visually match parts to vehicles

Requirements

  • 1+ year in an Automotive Parts environment
  • Previous experience with Toyota parts or in a body shop environment is an asset
  • Automotive proficiency with a high level of understanding of vehicle components, specifically related to auto body repair
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt in a very high volume and fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, independent, process driven and a team player with a high sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail when identifying collision repair parts, including trim-specific components, clips, fasteners, and one-time-use items
  • Ability to read and interpret collision repair estimates, parts lists, and repair documentation is an asset
  • Comfortable communicating with vendors, estimators, technicians, and internal departments to follow up on parts status, availability, and accuracy
  • Knowledge of CDK Drive, iMEX, Mitchell Connect, CollisionLink, PartsBridge, Toyota OEM parts catalogues, and aftermarket supplier websites is an asset
  • Valid British Columbia driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
