About the role

  • Joining DIALOG as Intermediate Mechanical Technologist in Mechanical Engineering. Collaborating with engineers to develop Revit models and drawings for construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality Revit models for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for commercial and institutional buildings
  • Produce accurate mechanical drawings directly from Revit models
  • Prepare contract and tender documentation from Revit models, including drawings and specifications required for approvals, development, and construction cost estimates
  • Assist with HVAC load calculations, duct sizing, hydronic pipe sizing, plumbing fixture unit calculations for various types of buildings
  • Perform model coordination and clash detection using Revit and Navisworks and or Revitzo
  • Work with architectural, electrical, and structural teams to resolve conflicts
  • Ensure model quality, coordination, schedules, and QA/QC standards are achieved and maintained
  • Participate in all project phases, from schematic design through construction and as-built documentation
  • Involvement in construction phase delivery including field reviews, shop drawing reviews, and other contract administration tasks
  • Maintain Revit standards, families, parameters, worksets, and schedules
  • Review Revit models and drawings for accuracy, coordination, and compliance with engineering practices and standards

Requirements

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Technology) or equivalent
  • Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience
  • Experience in AEC, drafting and design work of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection systems for commercial and institutional buildings
  • Knowledge of building and mechanical codes and standards
  • Knowledge of Architectural, Structural, Electrical and Civil discipline requirements
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit MEP and Autodesk Navisworks
