About the role
- Founding Forward Deployed Engineer building bespoke AI agents for Docebo’s enterprise learning platform. Translating customer workflows into scalable learning technology.
Responsibilities
- Define how the Forward Deployed Engineering team operates and establish internal playbooks
- Create the technical roadmap while navigating ambiguity alongside clients
- Partner with strategic enterprise customers to map complex L&D workflows and identify opportunities for agentic AI integration
- Design, build, and deploy bespoke AI agents integrating with customer systems and the Docebo Agent Hub
- Translate customer insights into scalable platform enhancements
- Own the lifecycle from discovery and system architecture through production deployment, monitoring, and optimization
- Shape the founding FDE team culture, operational rituals, internal playbooks, technical roadmap, and cross-functional organizational design
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience building, shipping, and maintaining production-grade full-stack software products
- Prior experience building, fine-tuning, or deploying agentic AI systems and LLM-powered applications in production environments
- Strong customer-centric focus and confidence engaging directly with enterprise stakeholders
- Comfortable with undefined problems, high-stakes decisions with partial information, and complete ownership from zero to one
- Proven ability to quickly build prototypes, experiment, and iterate based on usage and customer feedback
- Proficiency with React and TypeScript for frontend development
- Proficiency with Next.js and TypeScript for backend development
- Strong architectural background and experience with distributed systems, AWS, Kubernetes, and LLM providers
- Experience with GitLab, Datadog, OpenTofu, and multi-LLM orchestration tools
- Legally authorized to work in the country where applying without current or future visa sponsorship
