About the role

  • People & Culture Advisor guiding employee relations, manager coaching, and HR practices at Dulcedo, Canada's multidisciplinary talent management agency. Supporting teams across Canada and the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers on workplace questions, concerns, and conflicts
  • Coach managers through performance issues, team dynamics, and difficult conversations
  • Lead employee relations cases end to end, including investigations, warning meetings, documentation, and follow-up
  • Coordinate annual and quarterly performance reviews
  • Contribute to annual compensation reviews and market benchmarking
  • Guide onboarding and offboarding, including exit plans and exit interviews
  • Manage sensitive and time-critical situations, escalating appropriately
  • Develop, review, and refine HR policies, procedures, and practices
  • Monitor federal, provincial, and state employment legislation for Canadian and U.S. workforce compliance
  • Maintain accurate employee records in BambooHR
  • Produce reporting to inform leadership decisions on engagement and retention
  • Act as a visible, in-person advisory resource for employees and leaders

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of HR experience with a strong focus on employee relations, ideally within a fast-growing SME
  • Refined discretion and judgment for handling sensitive situations
  • Proven ability to coach and influence leaders at every level
  • Working knowledge of Quebec and Ontario employment standards
  • Familiarity with U.S. employment law is a strong asset
  • Full professional proficiency in French and English, written and spoken
  • High tolerance for ambiguity and ability to bring structure and clarity in fast-moving situations
  • Understanding of how culture drives performance and ability to translate it into practical people initiatives
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field
  • CRHA or CRIA designation is an asset
