About the role

  • Ethics and compliance advisor supporting Enbridge’s energy regulatory governance program. Monitoring regulatory changes, managing compliance systems, and improving governance across business units.

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation and governance of Compliance Management processes across Enbridge business units
  • Manage Legal Register Management, Regulatory Management of Change, Regulatory Enforcement Actions, and Permit & Compliance Management processes
  • Monitor and assess changes to legislation, regulations, standards, safety advisories, directives, and other regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and maintain RMOC records, regulatory change summaries, supporting documentation, and business-impact assessments
  • Track RMOC response completion and support performance management activities
  • Communicate regulatory updates and RMOC dashboard insights to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Manage compliance data within EnCompass, including legal requirements, control mapping, task management, reporting, and dashboard development
  • Support legal register reviews and compliance assessments
  • Identify compliance risks and improvement opportunities across business units
  • Deliver stakeholder training
  • Update process documentation
  • Identify opportunities to improve compliance management tools, processes, and reporting capabilities
  • Collaborate with multiple business units and business partners
  • Travel occasionally to Enbridge office locations

Requirements

  • University degree or technical diploma in Business, Policy, Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, combined with relevant professional experience
  • 4+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, governance, risk management, or related functions
  • Experience preferably within the pipeline, energy, or utility industries
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to independently evaluate regulatory changes and assess business impacts
  • Experience with databases, compliance systems, and reporting tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data management platforms such as Maximo and EnCompass assets
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships, influence stakeholders, and deliver training to diverse audiences
  • Knowledge of legislative and regulatory interpretation and compliance frameworks
  • Knowledge of U.S. federal and state regulatory environments is considered an asset
  • Legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located without requiring sponsorship
  • Final candidates may be required to undergo security screening, including a criminal records check
  • Ability to meet stated physical and mental requirements
