About the role

  • Managing Technical Consultant leading archaeological field programs and cultural heritage assessments for ERM. Advising clients and agencies while expanding sustainability consultancy services across Western Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Lead archaeological field programs under Heritage Inspection, Heritage Investigation, and Site Alteration Permits
  • Oversee research, artifact analysis, and reporting for cultural heritage assessments
  • Advise clients and regulatory agencies on cultural heritage matters
  • Represent ERM with clients, agencies, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Drive business development initiatives for archaeology and cultural heritage services across Western Canada
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, compliant solutions
  • Conduct literature reviews, artifact analysis, and cataloguing
  • Prepare high-quality reports and client deliverables
  • Represent ERM at meetings with provincial, territorial, and federal agencies
  • Support growth of ERM’s archaeology and cultural heritage practice through technical excellence and client engagement

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or related field
  • 4+ years of professional experience in archaeology and cultural heritage
  • Current permit holder in British Columbia; Field Directors will also be considered
  • Proven ability to lead field programs and complete research projects
  • Strong communication, writing, and computer skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Valid driver’s license and/or ability to operate a company vehicle
  • Not eligible for immigration sponsorship
  • Master’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or related field preferred
  • Permit holding in other provinces/territories preferred
  • Demonstrated business development experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively preferred
