Responsibilities
Lead archaeological field programs under Heritage Inspection, Heritage Investigation, and Site Alteration Permits
Oversee research, artifact analysis, and reporting for cultural heritage assessments
Advise clients and regulatory agencies on cultural heritage matters
Represent ERM with clients, agencies, and multidisciplinary teams
Drive business development initiatives for archaeology and cultural heritage services across Western Canada
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, compliant solutions
Conduct literature reviews, artifact analysis, and cataloguing
Prepare high-quality reports and client deliverables
Represent ERM at meetings with provincial, territorial, and federal agencies
Support growth of ERM’s archaeology and cultural heritage practice through technical excellence and client engagement
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or related field
4+ years of professional experience in archaeology and cultural heritage
Current permit holder in British Columbia; Field Directors will also be considered
Proven ability to lead field programs and complete research projects
Strong communication, writing, and computer skills
Willingness to travel
Valid driver’s license and/or ability to operate a company vehicle
Not eligible for immigration sponsorship
Master’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or related field preferred
Permit holding in other provinces/territories preferred
Demonstrated business development experience preferred
Ability to work independently and collaboratively preferred
