About the role

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with geotechnical, environmental, and infrastructure professionals across EXP's various offices
- Participate in the planning and execution of geotechnical studies for a variety of projects
- Supervise fieldwork, including geotechnical drilling and investigations, soil and rock sampling, installation of observation wells and piezometers, and in situ testing
- Interpret field and laboratory data
- Perform geotechnical analyses related to foundations, settlements, and slope stability
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and geotechnical recommendations
- Provide technical follow-up on projects in collaboration with project managers and clients
- Contribute to the preparation of service proposals
- Perform any other related duties as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or geological engineering
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant geotechnical experience
- Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Strong knowledge of conventional geotechnical engineering, soil mechanics, and soil classification
- Proficiency in interpreting field and laboratory results
- Basic knowledge of environmental practice (an asset)
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
- Familiarity with GeoStudio, GeoSlope, Géotec, or equivalent specialized software
- Autonomous, detail-oriented, and a strong team player
- Excellent command of French, both spoken and written
