About the role

  • Technicienne en tuyauterie concevant des réseaux industriels et systèmes mécaniques pour les centrales énergétiques d’EXP. Collaboration aux relevés, modèles 3D, construction et mise en service au Québec.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical surveys of existing power plant facilities
  • Participate in the design of industrial piping networks and related systems
  • Prepare and modify piping drawings using 2D and 3D CAD tools
  • Develop P&IDs, isometric drawings, general arrangements, and support details
  • Design pumping, drainage, cooling water, compressed air, and other mechanical systems in power plants
  • Perform 3D modeling of equipment and piping networks
  • Prepare material lists, piping lists, and quantity takeoffs
  • Participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings
  • Review shop drawings and supplier datasheets
  • Conduct site visits and field surveys
  • Participate in commissioning and construction follow-up activities as required
  • Prepare technical reports and site visit reports
  • Contribute to design optimization, considering safety, operations, maintenance, and constructability
  • Perform other related duties

Requirements

  • Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in mechanical engineering, industrial mechanical technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in industrial piping design
  • Experience in the energy sector, hydroelectric power plants, industrial facilities, or process plants is a significant asset
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and 3D modeling software
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D is an asset
  • Solid understanding of standards and codes applicable to industrial piping
  • Experience preparing P&IDs and isometric drawings
  • Ability to conduct field surveys in existing facilities
  • Thoroughness, autonomy, and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Valid driver's license
