About the role
- EDC student intern contributing to teams in finance, technology, analytics, marketing, and related fields. Supporting Export Development Canada’s mission to help Canadian businesses succeed globally.
Responsibilities
- Recruit early career professionals for the 2027 Winter Semester across Commerce, Technology and Analytics, Finance, Communications, Marketing, Project Management, Human Resources, and related teams
- Place selected students into team interview processes based on business needs
- Build cross-functional professional networks
- Identify and pursue opportunities for improvement and innovation
- Continuously learn and grow through coaching and mentoring from EDC professionals
- Work in a high-performing, fast-paced, flexible environment facilitated by technology
- Report to EDC hubs across Canada
- Notify applicants when applications are received
- Contact matching candidates on a rolling basis from July through August 2026 for interviews
- Provide selected candidates with team descriptions before interviews
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in post-secondary studies
- Pursuing studies in commerce, business, technology, analytics, finance, accounting, marketing, communications, project management, human resources, or related fields
- Available for a strictly four-month term from January to April 2027
- Previous work term experience related to field of study
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Motivated self-starter with good organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Enthusiasm to tackle any task, whether menial or complex
- Knowledge of both official languages is an asset and may be required for certain positions
- Preference for candidates able to work legally in Canada at the time of application (Canadian Citizen, Permanent Residents or Work Permit)
- Must meet requisite government security screening requirements
- Applications must be received by October 30, 2026
