About the role

  • Conseiller principal en gouvernance du portefeuille de transformation chez EDC, société canadienne aidant les entreprises à réussir à l’étranger. Supervision, conformité, Planview et rapports à la haute direction.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee portfolio governance by strengthening adherence to the initiative lifecycle framework, including key stages, control gates, and control measures.
  • Act as a second-line function by conducting independent critical reviews, monitoring compliance, and facilitating coordination with the Internal Audit team.
  • Lead and support the continuous improvement of portfolio governance frameworks and related processes.
  • Drive the optimization of lifecycle, change request, and financial governance processes.
  • Optimize Planview and portfolio management tools to improve reporting, data quality, and decision support.
  • Leverage expertise in portfolio, program, risk, financial, and resource management to support the effective implementation of all initiatives.
  • Participate in major program reviews, oversee business case analyses, and support change governance.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and portfolio modeling aligned with the Corporation’s priorities.
  • Support executives in preparing for governance activities and planning the cycles of the Initiative Oversight Committee and the Business Enablement leadership team.
  • Lead the preparation of portfolio transformation reports for senior management and the Board of Directors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in enterprise portfolio management, governance, or advisory roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in complex environments involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent understanding of portfolio and project management frameworks (e.g., Project Management Body of Knowledge, Lean Portfolio Management, Agile).
  • Experience with governance frameworks, lifecycle processes, and compliance monitoring.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with Planview or similar portfolio management tools.
  • Experience in financial governance, audit, or large-scale transformation programs.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile, Lean Portfolio Management).
  • Fluency in both of Canada’s official languages (English and French).
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application (Canadian citizens and permanent residents preferred).
  • Must meet government security requirements.
