About the role
- Patrol Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining roadways, assets, and supervising tasks in Ontario, Canada. Collaborating with the team to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining contracted assets per standards and conditions specified in the contract
- Performing duties of shift supervisor during the winter maintenance season
- Assisting supervisor in organizing/planning of work on a daily/weekly basis
- Organizing work activities by arranging for appropriate equipment, material and labor
- Overseeing work operations ensuring value for money is being achieved
- Providing leadership and training to junior staff
- Inspecting work performed by contract staff for compliance to standards
Requirements
- High School Diploma (Required)
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in construction, road maintenance, commercial/industry repair, maintenance or landscaping (outdoor work) (Preferred)
- Valid Ontario Class “DZ” Driver’s License and MTO Operator’s Permit, with an acceptable driving record.
