Resident Technician maintaining and repairing Caterpillar forestry, mining, and general-line equipment for Finning Canada. Field-based role serving customers throughout the Quesnel region.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot equipment and perform equipment repairs, including potentially at remote locations
Interface with customers, products and sales support
Work with the Supervisor on various tasks
Provide support with reference to on-site safety requirements
Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
Perform various related duties as required
Service machinery and Caterpillar general line, forestry and mining equipment throughout the region in a field environment
Requirements
Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification
Valid class 5 drivers license with a clear drivers abstract
Dedication to safety
Self motivated with the ability to work with limited supervision
Strong experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Emissions systems are required
Transmission or Hydraulic testing experience
Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
Understanding of the Caterpillar product line will be considered an asset
Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be considered an asset
Power generation experience would be considered an asset
A recent driver’s abstract is required
Successful candidate must reside in Quesnel
