About the role

Responsibilities
- Contribute to innovation and the continuous improvement of new product development
- Collaborate with design teams to ensure the quality and reliability of mechanical solutions
- Serve as a technical resource for project teams in resolving complex mechanical challenges
- Review and optimize design processes
- Provide technical support and develop mechanical talent in partnership with managers
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities to optimize team and product performance
- Act as the mechanical subject-matter expert within the R&D department
- Guide project teams and contribute to the integration of cutting-edge technologies
- Ensure technical excellence at every stage of product development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- 10 years of product development experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to identify, select, and collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors
- Skills in planning, monitoring, and coordinating technical projects
- Ability to meet deadlines and stay within budget
- Creative and resourceful mindset
- Ability to work in an Agile and collaborative environment
- Good knowledge of computerized environments and design software, particularly SolidWorks
- Experience with finite element analysis (an asset)
- Knowledge of plastics processing techniques (an asset)
- Advanced proficiency in French and English
