Responsibilities
Test new features before integration and identify regressions early in the development cycle
Participate in the cloud team’s Agile ceremonies and contribute to defining acceptance criteria
Perform manual exploratory and functional testing, then convert relevant test cases into automated tests
Enhance, maintain, and improve the reliability of the automated test suite for web interfaces, mobile applications, and APIs
Contribute to the continuous execution of automated tests and ensure results are clear and easy to interpret
Validate connected hot tubs in the lab, from the device through the cloud and iOS and Android applications
Use hot tubs to simulate real-world use cases, validate observability, and identify abnormal behavior
Write, maintain, execute, and document functional, regression, and release validation test plans
Collaborate with the integration testing team during release builds
Investigate and reproduce issues reported by customers in collaboration with the support team
Document bugs and contribute to their resolution with cloud developers
Create and use tools, scripts, and utilities to accelerate validation and reduce repetitive work
Explore and adopt new tools, including AI, for test creation, result analysis, and documentation
Requirements
College diploma or bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance or technical support (required)
Experience with manual testing and a clear willingness to advance test automation
Practical knowledge of testing strategies, including test plans, regression testing, exploratory testing, and acceptance criteria
Comfortable with investigation, including reproduction, log analysis, and bug documentation
Ability to work as part of a team in an Agile/Scrum and continuous delivery environment
Eagerness to learn, curiosity about new tools and AI, and a strong interest in test automation
Experience with Playwright, Qase, Magnitude, or equivalent tools (an asset)
Experience testing iOS and Android mobile applications and connected IoT devices (an asset)
Knowledge of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or a scripting language (an asset)
CI/CD and automated test execution, such as GitHub Actions (an asset)
