About the role

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the Pumps category strategy to strengthen its growth, competitiveness, and profitability
  • Drive financial performance by managing revenue, margins, costs, pricing, and volume
  • Analyze the portfolio and define a product rationalization strategy
  • Identify high-potential segments, products, and opportunities for growth and profitability
  • Define and evolve the commercial positioning for OEM customers and the aftermarket
  • Strengthen Gecko Alliance’s positioning as a second-source supplier for OEM customers
  • Accelerate aftermarket and replacement-parts growth
  • Define and optimize the business model, sourcing, inventory, and stock levels
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and manufacturing partners and lead required negotiations
  • Implement mechanisms to protect margins against cost fluctuations and market pressures
  • Evaluate opportunities to innovate and differentiate the offering
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Strategic Sourcing, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and After-Sales Service teams
  • Report to the Vice President, Commercial Operations

Requirements

  • Significant experience in category management, product line management, commercial management, business development, or management of a comparable business
  • Demonstrated experience managing the profitability of a product line, category, or business unit
  • Strong understanding of key P&L drivers: revenue, margins, costs, pricing, volume, and inventory
  • Strong ability to analyze commercial and financial data
  • Experience managing and negotiating with suppliers, manufacturing partners, or customers
  • Good understanding of industrial or technical markets and input-cost volatility
  • Excellent commercial judgment and the ability to build a compelling value proposition for customers
  • High degree of autonomy and a strong sense of accountability
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence multiple departments
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to identify new opportunities for growth and performance improvement
  • Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, components, or technical-products environment is an asset
  • Experience in the aftermarket, replacement parts, or OEM-related business models is particularly relevant
