Senior Java developer designing and deploying sanctions - screening applications for Genpact, an AI and advanced technology solutions company. Improving high - volume transaction processing through microservices, integrations, and Agile delivery.
About the role
- Java developer building high-volume sanctions and adverse-media screening systems for Genpact. Designing, developing, testing, and deploying enterprise applications with Spring Boot, Kafka, and databases.
Responsibilities
- Work on existing and new initiatives within the Sanctions suite of applications
- Customize applications for evolving business needs
- Improve application architecture and infrastructure
- Design, develop, test, and deploy code following Agile principles
- Understand complex business use cases and design appropriate solutions
- Develop underlying implementations and leverage team strengths for application success
- Work with vendor software and open-source Java technologies, including Spring Integration, Actimize Case Management, Lexis Nexis CLINK, and ASM
- Apply Scrum, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery
- Handle large volumes of customer and real-time transaction screening for Sanctions and Adverse Media screening
- Provide responses in sub-second timeframes
- Communicate and collaborate with global teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology, or Master’s degree in Software Engineering
- Oracle Certified Java Associate certification
- Hands-on experience with Core Java and databases using Spring Boot
- Experience with REST Services, JSON, Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, SOAP, and XML
- Strong database design skills including SQL, procedures, and query tuning
- Knowledge of service design concepts, object-oriented and functional development concepts
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of DevOps tools and methodologies
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professional approach
- Knowledge of microservices concepts and software architecture/design methodologies such as SOA
- Ability to modernize an ecosystem iteratively
- Ability to create Architecture Design Review documents
- Experience with Linux and shell scripts
- English proficiency at C2 level
- Financial domain knowledge and understanding of AML and Customer Risk ranking quantitative methodologies is an advantage
- Angular UI is a plus
