About the role

Battery Processor operating GFL Environmental’s battery recycling line. Handling batteries, forklift transport, data entry, and industrial plant operations across Ontario locations.

Responsibilities

Operate the battery processing line
Process batteries
Transport raw materials, scrap, and recyclable materials throughout the plant using a forklift
Perform data entry using Microsoft Excel and Greentrax
Clean work areas and equipment
Perform other duties assigned by management
Work in an industrial setting operating five days per week
Work additional hours and/or outside regular hours when required to meet customer requirements

Completion of secondary school
Must be able to perform labour intensive duties, including heavy lifting
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Forklift experience is an asset
Physical strength for manual material handling
Ability to stand and walk for long periods, with some minimal climbing of ladders and stairs
Ability to wear and maintain required PPE, including a respirator mask
Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team environment
Ability to communicate in English both verbally and electronically
Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located
Successful completion of a drug and alcohol test as a condition of employment
