About the role

Responsibilities
- Participate in studies, preliminary designs, or the preparation of plans and specifications for projects delivered by conventional or alternative delivery methods, including Design-Build and PPP
- Design digital products and services by carrying out prescribed design activities in accordance with existing procedures
- Support research and development of products and solutions, including analyzing client situations and interpreting data
- Inspect and identify software defects and recommend corrections
- Perform complex quality assurance tests to verify compliance with specifications and reject nonconforming materials
- Operate complex machines and systems and adjust their settings to optimize quality and productivity
- Resolve complex efficiency problems
- Collect and analyze data and produce accurate reports
- Develop effective solutions to routine functional requests while adhering to procedures and precedents
- Comply with relevant policies, procedures, codes, and regulations
- Develop skills through training, mentoring, conferences, and reading specialized publications
- Collaborate within GHD’s experienced multidisciplinary municipal infrastructure teams
Requirements
- Hold a DEC in Civil Engineering or other equivalent and relevant training
- More than 10 years of experience in municipal infrastructure design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, OpenRoads, and Civil 3D
- Basic skills in Microsoft Office products and Bluebeam
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with project stakeholders, including engineers, technicians, and clients
- Teamwork is an asset
