Validation Engineer testing SSD firmware, NVMe features, and NAND memory products for DATAmundi’s localization and data-services software business. Detecting defects, optimizing validation, and coordinating with firmware engineers and clients.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the development, validation, and optimization of SSD product lines
Detect test failures, perform triage, create defect reports, and ensure timely and accurate resolution
Participate in peer code reviews and defect management
Contribute bug fixing and validation of SSD firmware and NVMe features on complex embedded multi-core architectures
Collaborate with Firmware Engineers to optimize NVMe features of high-performance firmware and software for next-generation SSD products
Provide clear status to domain leads on development and test status
Report sightings and pre-sightings for suspected firmware issues
Use diagnostics and debugging tools to analyze reported design bugs
Join monthly and quarterly meetings with client representatives as the technical representative
Requirements
1–3 years of programming experience in C/C++, and Python; all three languages are required for the role
Experience with Git or similar source control repository systems
Understanding of Computer Science fundamentals
Experience with Atlassian Suite or similar management tools
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related concentration, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Excellent written and spoken English
Strong analytical problem-solving skills and innovative thinking
Quality-focused and detail-oriented
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and receive feedback
Must be located in the Vancouver and Lower Mainland areas or willing to relocate
