About the role

  • People & Culture Director leading HR strategy, talent, compensation, and culture for StickerYou’s custom e-commerce manufacturing business. Advising executives and managing hands-on HR delivery across Canadian and international teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead StickerYou’s people strategy while remaining actively involved in day-to-day execution
  • Report directly to the CEO and serve as a member of the Leadership Team
  • Lead a small HR team and partner with leaders across the business
  • Advise on organizational design, workforce planning, succession, employee relations, performance management, and change management
  • Shape and strengthen culture across Canadian and international teams through engagement initiatives, company events, celebrations, and employee recognition
  • Own recruitment strategy, manage external search partners, support internal production hiring, and partner with hiring managers
  • Coach managers through performance improvement and difficult employee situations
  • Lead company-wide performance management, including semi-annual reviews, talent calibration, goal setting, and goal achievement reviews
  • Partner with the CEO and CFO on salary reviews, compensation planning, payroll administration, benefits, incentive plans, and HR compliance
  • Monitor departmental headcount, workforce planning, and labour/payroll costs as a percentage of company revenue
  • Develop talent development and succession planning initiatives
  • Evaluate AI, automation, and technology opportunities to improve recruiting, HR operations, analytics, and employee experience
  • Support international workforce growth and potential expansion into the UK/Europe and other markets

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, ideally in entrepreneurial or high-growth environments
  • Experience leading talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, payroll, employee relations, and organizational development
  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to influence senior leaders while remaining hands-on
  • Experience supporting distributed teams
  • Experience in Latin America or Europe is an asset
  • Experience with HRIS platforms such as Rippling is preferred
  • Passion for innovation and leveraging AI to improve People practices
  • Must be currently based in the Greater Toronto Area and available to work hybrid, 3 days per week in the office
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Comfortable in a hands-on, execution-focused HR role with roughly two-thirds of time spent on day-to-day delivery
  • Ability to use or integrate AI tools into HR or people processes
