About the role
- Forward Deployed Engineer building AI-enhanced payment integrations for SaaS partners at Constellation Payments. Designing APIs, automation, and reusable delivery assets.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery sessions with partners
- Design and implement REST API, webhook, and tokenization integrations
- Build and maintain custom scripts and lightweight services
- Lead technical integrations from sandbox to production
- Support partner development teams with best-practices-led integrations
- Leverage AI tools for code generation and automation
- Create repeatable AI-enabled delivery playbooks and certifications
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Operations to drive implementation success
- Own successful partner implementations, including time-to-live, quality, and scalability
- Develop reusable AI-assisted assets such as MCPs, templates, and scripts
- Deliver efficiency improvements and build partner technical trust
Requirements
- 3–6 years in software/solutions engineering
- Experience with APIs and integrations
- Proficiency in Java, TypeScript, or similar
- Flexibility to work in the partner’s language
- Customer-facing technical experience
- Interest in or experience with AI-augmented engineering
- Payments or fintech experience preferred
- Knowledge of gateways and Payfacs preferred
- Experience with cloud, AWS preferred
- Familiarity with AI developer tools such as Kiro, Claude, or Copilot preferred
- Pre-existing legal authorization to work in Canada
