About the role

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management
  • Participate in the month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and actual-versus-budget variance analyses
  • Ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial statements
  • Track and update financial and operational KPIs
  • Collaborate on the preparation of the annual budget and periodic budget revisions
  • Build and maintain financial models to assess various strategic scenarios
  • Analyze departmental budget variances and support team leaders in monitoring expenses
  • Analyze the profitability of projects, clients, and service lines
  • Track team time utilization and billable hourly rates
  • Collaborate with operational teams to optimize gross margin and control delivery costs
  • Monitor cash flow and prepare short- and medium-term cash flow forecasts
  • Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable with the accounting team
  • Participate in preparing annual audit files, tax reports, and tax credit claims, including SR&ED
  • Identify and assess opportunities to integrate IT and AI tools
  • Maximize the use of financial software and participate in evaluating or deploying new solutions
  • Support the team in adopting new financial technologies
  • Audit financial workflows to identify bottlenecks and error risks
  • Design and implement automated or streamlined processes
  • Document new procedures and ensure adherence to financial governance best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, with a concentration in finance or accounting, or a related field
  • CPA or CFA designation, or progress toward obtaining one, is an asset
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar financial analyst or accounting role
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling; Power Query is an asset
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems and BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau
  • Strong interest in IT and AI
  • Curiosity about automation tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Python, and Make/Zapier
  • Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written
  • English is required due to daily interactions and project management with international and pan-Canadian teams
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment where technology evolves rapidly
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills
  • Self-motivated, with initiative and the ability to work independently
