About the role

  • Financial Performance Advisor supporting FP&A reporting, variance analysis, and expense forecasting at iA Financial Group. Partnering with Canadian and U.S. stakeholders to improve financial decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure financial performance reporting and monitoring by contributing to dashboards, analyzing variances between actuals, budget, and forecasts, and documenting key trends and drivers
  • Maintain the quality, consistency, and integrity of financial data across deliverables
  • Participate in general expense forecasting by updating projections, consolidating data from various sectors, and analyzing key assumptions and variables
  • Identify and communicate variances, risks, and opportunities to support informed decision-making
  • Support teams in understanding financial performance, respond to information requests, and contribute to monthly and quarterly performance reviews
  • Collaborate with the FP&A team to continuously improve practices, optimize tools and processes, and develop business knowledge

Requirements

  • Rigor and attention to detail to ensure quality, consistency, and reliability of financial data
  • Analytical and synthesis skills, particularly in interpreting financial performance and variances
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and reporting tools
  • Solid understanding of financial statements and basic financial analysis concepts
  • Collaborative mindset, effective communication, and proactive attitude
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in finance, FP&A, accounting, or a related field
  • Budget and forecasting experience considered an asset
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality
  • Advanced level of English proficiency
  • Ability to produce and present financial analyses and support planning and forecasting activities with financial stakeholders and business partners, including U.S. entities and Western Canada
