About the role
- IT Analyst analyzing business needs, requirements, testing, and IT assets for iA Financial Group’s insurance and financial services operations. Supporting compliance, continuity, and technology initiatives across Canada.
Responsibilities
- Support business partners in clarifying, prioritizing, and validating needs
- Facilitate analysis workshops and document processes, business rules, and functional requirements
- Assess business, functional, operational, and technological impacts of proposed changes
- Translate business needs into clear requirements for design and delivery teams
- Develop analyses, recommendations, and solution options
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, architects, and other contributors
- Define and coordinate functional validation and user acceptance testing
- Support users during testing and follow up on defects and corrective actions
- Maintain clear, structured, and current functional documentation
- Coordinate commitments, action plans, audits, and compliance requirements
- Monitor IT recovery plans and business continuity exercises
- Support IT asset evolution, including risks, obsolescence, controls, and roadmaps
- Prepare follow-ups, analyses, and indicators to report progress and issues
Requirements
- Significant experience in IT analysis or business analysis
- Autonomy, rigor, organizational skills, and a proactive approach
- Excellent analytical, synthesis, writing, and communication skills
- Experience in requirements analysis, documentation, and functional validation
- Ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously and influence stakeholders without direct authority
- Experience contributing to IT processes, risk management, and compliance initiatives
- Solid understanding of IT processes and business environments
- Education in information technology, administration, business analysis, or a related field
- Knowledge of the insurance and financial services industry considered an asset
- Experience with IT asset management, IT disaster recovery plans, obsolescence management, or portfolio management considered an asset
- Knowledge of Excel, Power BI, or similar tools considered an asset
- Advanced French and intermediate English
