About the role

  • Actuarial manager leading national personal-lines pricing at Intact, an insurance company. Interpreting results, producing pricing indications, coaching actuaries and guiding market strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret actuarial analyst reports to formulate recommendations improving product and service performance
  • Evaluate, develop and coach team members to achieve company strategic objectives
  • Organize, plan and control optimal use of human, financial and material resources according to company strategies and budget
  • Manage and provide technical advice on actuarial work and studies, including product rating, reserves, financial projections and regulatory requirements
  • Represent the actuarial function in working groups and committees
  • Serve as a point of contact with other business units
  • Report to the Actuarial Director

Requirements

  • University degree in Mathematics or Actuarial Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • FCAS designation is an asset
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience, including 2 years of coaching is a major asset
  • Strong skills and knowledge of actuarial techniques
