About the role

  • Senior Financial Analyst guiding Intact’s IT investment budgeting, forecasting, and benefits reporting. Driving data-informed funding decisions through financial analysis and executive dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Support Prioritization and Funding Review and budgeting by collecting monthly requests, challenging items, and aligning financial impacts with Finance
  • Prepare executive presentations in a timely manner
  • Provide cost estimation support for new and ongoing projects
  • Track and monitor project budgets, forecasts, actuals, and financial performance
  • Review resource planning and allocation for alignment with financial objectives
  • Analyze portfolio movements and proactively identify financial challenges and recommendations
  • Collaborate with IT stakeholders to manage initiative budgets
  • Develop financial reports and dashboards for stakeholders and leadership
  • Analyze financial trends and variances, identifying risks and opportunities
  • Define, assess, and track financial benefits tied to initiative execution
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation for assumptions, approvals, and benefit calculations
  • Lead benefits discussions and track post-implementation benefits against business cases
  • Partner with Finance teams, project managers, IT stakeholders, and business sponsors
  • Act as liaison between IT stakeholders and business sponsors on IT&Labs matters
  • Communicate financial findings clearly and actionably
  • Translate financial analyses into scope, timeline, funding, and capacity trade-offs for senior leadership
  • Standardize and improve portfolio financial processes, templates, costing standards, benefit taxonomy, and forecasting cadence
  • Improve automation and data quality in Excel/Power BI reporting
  • Evaluate and implement financial management tools to streamline reporting, forecasting, analysis, and benefits tracking
  • Support the IT & Labs team in maintaining financial standards and templates

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or equivalent education and experience
  • CPA designation or progress toward CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or project/portfolio finance
  • Experience supporting technology investment portfolios ideally
  • Experience creating investment business cases and cost-benefit analyses, including benefit quantification and ROI/NPV/payback modeling
  • Strong understanding of Capex vs Opex and technology spend flows through financial statements
  • Advanced Excel financial modeling skills, including scenario analysis, sensitivity tables, and structured models
  • Power BI/Tableau experience for executive dashboards
  • Experience with financial reporting tools such as Power BI and Tableau
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a financial focus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • High attention to detail and financial accuracy
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving financial issues
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required to interact regularly with English-speaking colleagues across Canada
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada; no Canadian work experience required
  • Must maintain work eligibility throughout employment
