- Sort Supervisor overseeing package sorting, freight movement, safety, and warehouse teams. Supporting Intelcom | Dragonfly's fast, accurate last-mile logistics operations in Edmonton.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety protocols and maintain a hazard-free work environment
- Enforce safe working methods and behaviors within the team
- Conduct safety audits and warehouse checks
- Respond to emergencies as required
- Supervise sorting, scanning, and processing packages, including defective items and returns
- Ensure sorting operations are completed correctly and efficiently
- Oversee shipping, receiving, dispatching, and inventory management
- Unload trailers and verify freight against manifests
- Assign labor and unload pallets
- Assist with sorting packages and envelopes as needed
- Support inbound and outbound freight movement management
- Confirm and communicate with the optimization team before daily operations begin
- Track line haul operations, communicate with carriers, and monitor FMC for Amazon freight
- Mentor and support Package Handlers during the sort process
- Coach and mentor warehouse associates, including training new hires
- Schedule warehouse associates
- Evaluate and assess employee performance, workplace conduct, and compliance, including discipline where appropriate
- Conduct quality checks on sorted freight and inbound and outbound processes
- Perform data entry as needed
- Complete and submit reports
- Handle driver credentials, BOL exchange, and secure docking
- Support cost control
- Ensure warehouse cleanliness and organization
- Set up sorting layout
- Perform other duties as assigned
