About the role

  • Senior Technical Project Manager delivering AI and HPC infrastructure projects for IREN. Coordinating deployment, remediation, scheduling, vendors, and operational handoff across Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Technical Project Management group
  • Lead complex technical infrastructure projects supporting AI infrastructure deployment and operational remediation programs
  • Deliver projects safely, on schedule, and according to technical, operational, and business requirements
  • Develop execution plans and coordinate project activities from initiation through operational handoff
  • Manage multiple concurrent technical projects
  • Lead Rack & Stack, GPU server, storage, network hardware, fibre optic, structured cabling, cross-connect, provisioning, commissioning, client delivery, and operational readiness projects
  • Coordinate implementation across Engineering, Operations, Site Leadership, Procurement, OEM vendors, and external service providers
  • Execute infrastructure upgrade, hardware refresh, optimization, recovery, reliability, capacity optimization, lifecycle, remediation, corrective action, and modernization projects
  • Support Technical Infrastructure Program Managers with enterprise remediation roadmaps
  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities
  • Coordinate implementation sequencing across technical teams
  • Monitor schedule performance and manage project risks
  • Support procurement coordination for long-lead technical equipment
  • Maintain project forecasts and delivery reporting
  • Build relationships across internal teams and external vendors
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies
  • Facilitate project meetings and coordinate cross-functional delivery activities
  • Escalate issues appropriately
  • Manage project scope, schedules, action items, risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies
  • Track project performance against objectives
  • Prepare executive-ready reporting and status updates
  • Maintain project documentation throughout the lifecycle
  • Coordinate implementation readiness, technical deployment, commissioning, customer onboarding, operational handoff, and go-live readiness
  • Identify delivery practice improvements
  • Develop reusable project templates and standards
  • Support the maturity of IREN's Technical Program Management organization
  • Capture lessons learned and recommend process improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Construction Management, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of Technical Project Management experience
  • Experience delivering complex technical infrastructure projects
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering and operational teams
  • Strong experience managing integrated project schedules
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have a flexible approach to work hours
  • Occasional travel as required across Canadian and US operations
