About the role

  • Integrity Analyst improving gas pipeline risk models and asset data for JANA. Creating SQL workflows, analyzing risks, and supporting client software implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Create data staging, transformation, and validation scripts using SQL
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data-gathering techniques
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Support data quality and governance improvement opportunities
  • Work with large volumes of structured and unstructured client and industry data
  • Write reports and provide quality peer review and report release
  • Ensure pipeline integrity issues are addressed in risk modeling approaches
  • Perform risk analysis on specific pipeline assets
  • Review and analyze asset-specific information to identify risks and threats
  • Develop engineering solutions using reliability modeling and prediction, Fault Tree Analysis, Weibull Analysis, Root-Cause Analysis, and Root-Cause Failure Analysis
  • Perform detailed engineering calculations
  • Execute engineering aspects of Integrity Management software implementations
  • Meet with client business users for demonstrations, project meetings, implementation workshops, and training
  • Provide client training on risk models and risk assessments

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a STEM field, preferably in Engineering
  • 1–3 years in client-facing and software implementation
  • 1–3 years’ experience in MS SQL Server or another RDBMS such as Oracle, DB2, or Teradata
  • Experience with advanced mathematical and statistical techniques
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite
  • Experience developing spreadsheet models, relational databases, and presentations
  • Pipeline operations or risk management knowledge is an asset
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time management
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines
  • Must be able to travel in the US and Canada up to 20% of the time
  • Successful completion of a background check is required as a condition of employment
