About the role

  • Data Engineer Consultant building Microsoft Fabric pipelines, lakehouses, and cloud architectures for Keyrus’ client organizations. Delivering scalable, governed data platforms that turn information into actionable business intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to understand business objectives and translate technical requirements into scalable data solutions
  • Design, build, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines, lakehouses, and cloud data architectures using Microsoft Fabric and complementary technologies
  • Implement medallion lakehouse architectures focused on scalability, governance, data quality, and performance
  • Build and maintain parameterized ingestion frameworks for batch and near real-time data processing
  • Develop and operate CI/CD pipelines for reliable, automated deployments across multiple environments
  • Promote and apply Microsoft Fabric best practices, reusable patterns, and engineering standards
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, Architects, and business stakeholders to deliver integrated data solutions
  • Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements to client data ecosystems and delivery capabilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in Data Engineering or Cloud Data Platform roles delivering end-to-end solutions
  • Experience working in client-facing consulting environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including building and optimizing modern data pipelines
  • Experience with at least one additional cloud data platform such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Azure Data Factory
  • Solid understanding of data warehouse, lakehouse, and modern cloud data architecture patterns
  • Experience designing and implementing medallion lakehouse architectures
  • Experience building scalable ingestion frameworks for batch and near real-time data processing
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation for cloud data solutions
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and business audiences
  • Experience working within Agile and Scrum delivery environments
  • Comfortable working directly with clients and contributing to solution design discussions
  • Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, or cloud data certifications are considered an asset
  • Experience optimizing Spark workloads and distributed data processing is a nice-to-have
  • Familiarity with semantic models, data governance, and modern analytics ecosystems is a nice-to-have
  • Exposure to Azure Data Services, Power BI, or Microsoft Fabric analytics capabilities is a nice-to-have
