About the role
- SRE intern supporting Kinaxis’s supply-chain orchestration SaaS platform. Deploying cloud infrastructure, troubleshooting systems, and managing incidents from Ottawa.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Software-as-a-Service to customers globally
- Deliver customer excellence and ensure all SLAs are met
- Work in a highly collaborative team
- Deploy, upgrade, and support applications, services, and operating systems
- Support infrastructure including VMware, Kubernetes, storage, and networking
- Work with public clouds including Azure and GCP
- Perform hands-on infrastructure support and hardware lifecycle management in an enterprise data center
- Troubleshoot system performance and application health issues
- Own and manage the incident resolution process
- Perform additional projects upon request
Requirements
- Enrolled in a post-secondary diploma or degree program in computer science or a related discipline
- Currently enrolled in full-time education or a recent/upcoming graduate within 12 months of the placement end date
- Proven strong troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident due to CGRP security requirements
- Knowledge of remote system administration
- Understanding of system performance monitoring
- Knowledge of modern SaaS technologies
- Knowledge of public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell and Ansible
- Experience with hardware break-fix troubleshooting
- Must adhere to all security and confidentiality requests for this position
