About the role
- Winter seasonal operator maintaining Alberta highways for Ledcor Highways Ltd. Operating snowplows and heavy equipment while performing outdoor road maintenance across Alberta.
Responsibilities
- Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required
- Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways
- Assist with labourer duties including crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, and hazard remediation
- Work outside in all weather conditions
- Perform shift work, on-call duties, and night shifts as required by weather patterns
Requirements
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Valid Class 1, 2 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement
- Clear 3-year driver’s abstract
- Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset; training provided
- Willingness and ability to work shift work, on-call, and night shifts as required by weather patterns

- Premium starting at $14/hour when performing winter operations as a Class 1 operator and while operating the tow plow unit
