About the role

  • Winter highway operator maintaining Alberta roads for Ledcor’s infrastructure construction and maintenance business. Operating snowplows and heavy equipment while performing seasonal highway repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment
  • Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways
  • Assist with labourer duties including crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, and hazard remediation
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Perform shift work, on-call work, and night shifts as required by weather patterns
  • Support winter seasonal highway maintenance from October 1st to April 30th, with potential for year-round employment

Requirements

  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid Class 1, 2, or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement
  • Clear 3-year driver’s abstract
  • Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset; training provided
  • Availability for shift work, on-call work, and night shifts
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
