About the role
- Winter seasonal operator maintaining Alberta highways with snowplow trucks and heavy equipment. Ledcor provides infrastructure construction and maintenance services across transportation and other industries.
Responsibilities
- Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required
- Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways year-round
- Assist with labourer duties, including crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, and hazard remediation
- Work outside in all weather conditions
- Perform winter and seasonal highway maintenance to help keep Alberta’s highways safe
Requirements
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement
- Clear 3-year driver’s abstract
- Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset
- Some shift work, on-call, and night shift availability required
- Winter seasonal availability from October 1 to April 30
