Project Coordinator managing construction, heritage restoration and asset projects for British Columbia’s Legislative Assembly. Coordinating consultants, contractors, budgets and project documentation through completion.
Responsibilities
Coordinate a variety of projects, primarily construction projects
Support projects involving long-term asset maintenance, rehabilitation, upgrades, heritage restoration, construction, environmental remediation, renovation and redevelopment of the BC Legislative Precinct
Ensure assigned projects are completed on time and within budget
Use in-house and external consultants or contractors as project resources
Oversee and effectively manage project documentation and details from initiation through successful completion
Serve as the first point of contact for consultants, contractors and vendors
Report to the Capital Planning and Development Manager
Requirements
Post-secondary education in a technical or related program, plus at least three years of project coordination and project administration experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience coordinating projects in excess of $600,000 in value
Preference may be given to candidates with experience in the construction industry
Preference may be given to candidates with a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or working towards designation
Preference may be given to candidates with experience using project management software
Preference may be given to candidates with experience with heritage buildings
Preference may be given to candidates with experience with Workday
Must be at least 16 years old
Must be eligible to work in Canada

Must perform duties in a non-partisan manner and manage private affairs without compromising political neutrality and impartiality
