Mining Parts Advisor supporting Liebherr equipment operations and customer maintenance projects in Sparwood, British Columbia. Managing parts orders, technical support, logistics, warehouse activities, and mine site deliveries.
Responsibilities
Act as a Mining Parts Advisor supporting a significant mining project with Elk Valley Resources
Provide parts sales and administration, ensuring customers receive correct components quickly and efficiently
Provide technical parts support to service teams by diagnosing parts requirements and identifying effective maintenance and repair solutions
Coordinate logistics and distribution activities for timely delivery of parts to customers and field operations
Provide parts advice and expertise to internal and external mining customers
Ensure correct parts orders with technicians and service supervisors
Process parts orders, quotes, non-stock orders, purchase orders, returns, and factory communications
Enter invoices into customer portals and email invoices to customers; correct billing errors
Communicate with Service Teams and Parts Planners regarding part performance, stocking issues, and improvements
Monitor parts movement from source to destination with planners, warehouse teams, and third-party logistics vendors
Coordinate parts and consumables procurement with Field Service Managers, Supervisors, and Technicians
Build relationships with Liebherr factories and distribution centers
Participate in branch and remote warehouse inventory counts
Assist with mine site delivery logistics and operations, including occasional direct delivery
Provide warehouse support, including receiving, remote warehouse setup, factory returns, orders, and maintenance
Champion Liebherr Environmental, Health and Safety standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
2+ Years Experience as a Certified Journeyman Parts Technician
Day and night shift requirements on a 14-day rotation
Class 5 License with a requirement to drive to local mine site on emergency occasions (unplanned machine downtime) to deliver parts
Able to access restricted Mine sites (Drug and Alcohol Tests, Security Check)
Forklift Certification, or the ability or obtain and maintain certification
Experience and familiarity with Mining operations and machinery is beneficial
Primary work location is Elkford/Sparwood BC (95%)
Some travel may be required to other regional locations for training and/or remote site part management
Ability to operate medium (8T) and large (36T) forklifts and OH cranes (20T)
