About the role

  • Senior Financial Analyst driving budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and decision support. Supporting Lightspeed’s global commerce platform through data-driven FP&A analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Create and utilize data-driven analysis to hold senior business leaders accountable for delivering budget targets
  • Establish solid business partnerships with leaders across the business
  • Prepare presentations for the Senior Management team
  • Prepare, improve, and streamline budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes
  • Perform deep monthly and quarterly analysis and scorecards against budget and forecast
  • Deliver accurate and timely month-end variance and management reporting
  • Provide analytical support and financial guidance for business decisions
  • Develop new analyses and improve reports and metrics to support senior leadership decision-making
  • Work on ad hoc projects, including assessment of new business activities or process changes
  • Assist with special requests from the executive team
  • Contribute to wider team objectives beyond the strict scope of the role

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of progressive financial analysis experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
  • Expert knowledge in Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with financial modeling
  • Proven track record in a business partner or corporate FP&A role
  • Highly detail oriented and organized
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with all levels of management
  • Demonstrated success in deadline-driven, multitask, fast-paced environments
  • Ability to multitask, work quickly, and adapt to a rapidly evolving environment
  • Experience with Pigment planning tool is an advantage
  • Knowledge/experience working in a customer support organization is an advantage
