About the role

  • Tuteur.trice de français langue seconde à distance pour fonctionnaires fédéraux canadiens. Dispensant des séances virtuelles et adaptant l’enseignement aux besoins des apprenants.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a positive rapport and understand learners' needs while actively engaging them
  • Deliver French as a Second Language tutoring sessions
  • Complete electronic administrative documentation within deadlines
  • Help federal public servants develop their French as a second language skills, with an emphasis on oral proficiency
  • Determine the most effective way to teach the provided instructional materials

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Excellent spoken and written French
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Strong proficiency with information and communication technologies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams
  • Ownership of a working computer equipped with a webcam/video capability
  • Professionalism, energy, creativity, and the ability to adapt to different learner types and levels
  • Experience in tutoring or teaching, an asset
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Federal Public Service exams and A, B, and C levels, an asset
  • Availability Monday to Friday between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM
  • Self-employed status
