About the role
- People Operations Intern supporting HR initiatives at PICTON Investments. Collaborating on employee engagement, HR operations, and training and development programs in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the People Operations team while partnering closely with Talent Acquisition teams
- Gain practical experience across multiple areas of HR
- Contribute to employee engagement, HR operations, and communications
- Assist with training coordination, communications, and feedback analyses
- Coordinate the setup and administration of surveys
- Support the research and submission of external employer awards
- Help enhance PICTON's Rewards & Recognition framework
- Assist with annual performance review cycle planning and related initiatives
- Coordinate employee engagement activities and learning events
- Provide operational support across People & Culture priorities
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve employee experience and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program (HR, Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook); Canva or similar tools are a plus
- Interest in workplace culture, employee engagement, and DEI
- Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to pitch in where needed
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
