About the role

Responsibilities
- Build and evolve the shared services and components that other teams depend on.
- Design APIs, tools, and design system components, and support teams in adopting them.
- Improve the speed, security, and reliability of development, testing, and delivery processes.
- Gather feedback from internal developers, measure adoption, and iterate.
- Deliver end-to-end features, from planning through production deployment.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to shape the roadmap.
- Ensure the long-term reliability and performance of a functional area or system.
- Review code and mentor other developers on the team.
- Raise standards for tooling, testing, and delivery.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and take full ownership of a functional area or system within six months.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience developing full-stack web or mobile products.
- Deep hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
- Experience with iterative, adaptive, and mobile-first development.
- A track record of writing maintainable, testable code that you feel comfortable handing off to someone else.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to move a problem forward before specifications are finalized, adapting as you learn.
- Daily use of AI tools in your development workflow, beyond occasional experimentation.
- GraphQL, React Native, or SQL databases are considered assets.
- Experience with search technologies, authentication and identity management, design systems or component libraries, developer tools or IDE extensions, CI/CD, observability, or compliance programs such as FedRAMP or SOC 2 is considered an asset.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
