About the role

  • Advisor onboarding associate coordinating advisor transitions, documentation, and system setup at Manulife, an international financial services provider. Supporting compliance, operations, and advisor experience improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Support advisors transitioning their books of business to Manulife Wealth Inc. and other wealth lines of business
  • Lead onboarding and transition activities for standard and lower-complexity advisor recruits and smaller practices
  • Support larger, more complex advisor transitions under senior team guidance
  • Input and maintain advisor and client information in internal systems
  • Ensure compliance and legal documentation is completed and securely stored
  • Manage new-advisor onboarding, including account setup and system integration
  • Coordinate with Compliance, IT, Licensing, and Operations
  • Serve as a primary contact for onboarding inquiries and assist with issue resolution
  • Escalate complex onboarding challenges, exceptions, and risks
  • Build relationships with transitioning advisors
  • Liaise between advisors and internal teams
  • Gather advisor feedback and identify process improvements
  • Collaborate on best practices and efficiency improvements
  • Support onboarding meetings, training sessions, advisor events, and transition activities

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in operations, advisor support, or financial services
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong data accuracy and documentation management skills
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple onboarding activities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Client-focused approach
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to navigate changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
