About the role

  • Lead Salesforce product owner overseeing enterprise architecture, delivery, and technical teams. Supporting Manulife’s financial-services transformation across Toronto and Waterloo.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical vision, architecture, and delivery of Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and integrated enterprise platforms
  • Lead Salesforce developers, administrators, and technical specialists
  • Partner with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to translate objectives into scalable technical solutions
  • Drive solution design, integration strategy, release planning, and technical governance
  • Create and maintain architecture, solution design, and technical documentation
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship while ensuring best practices and coding standards
  • Review and implement new Salesforce features and platform capabilities
  • Support enterprise DevOps, release management, source control, and deployment methodologies
  • Conduct architecture reviews, risk assessments, and solution evaluations for scalability, security, and maintainability
  • Collaborate with technology leaders to define roadmaps and support large-scale transformation initiatives

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in technology product development, software engineering, or enterprise application delivery
  • Extensive experience designing, implementing, and supporting Salesforce solutions, including Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
  • Experience leading technical teams and guiding developers, engineers, and solution delivery teams
  • Strong expertise in Salesforce solution design, architecture, systems integration, and enterprise application delivery
  • Experience with Salesforce Apex, Lightning Components, Visualforce, APIs, and modern Salesforce development practices
  • Experience with Git or other source control systems and CI/CD release management
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
  • Ability to attend the GTA or Waterloo office three days per week
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I certification preferred
  • Additional Salesforce certifications preferred, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Application Architect, System Architect, Platform Developer II, or Technical Architect
  • Experience in financial services, insurance, banking, or other regulated industries preferred
  • Experience leading enterprise-scale transformation or modernization initiatives preferred
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Marketing Cloud Connector capabilities preferred
  • DevOps experience within large-scale technology organizations preferred
  • Experience developing and mentoring high-performing technical teams preferred
  • Experience supporting customer, operations, marketing, or shared services business functions preferred
