About the role

  • FP&A Manager delivering reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and analytics for Manulife’s global wealth and asset management business. Supporting Public Markets and CQS senior leaders with performance insights and process automation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and coordinate management reporting deliverables for the Public Markets and CQS senior management team and key stakeholders
  • Forecast, analyze, and support Public Markets and CQS earnings by region and asset class
  • Analyze KPIs and other analytics for Public Market desks and CQS asset classes
  • Provide commentary on performance metrics, variances, special projects, and significant events or transactions
  • Coordinate and analyze annual Public Markets and CQS business plans
  • Develop asset, revenue, and expense budgets, product and model assumptions, and sensitivity testing
  • Document engagement models and operating procedures among internal functional and business teams
  • Develop solutions to automate manual processes and support transformation initiatives within Global WAM
  • Liaise with business and functional stakeholders
  • Produce ad hoc analyses

Requirements

  • University Business Degree and CPA, CA or MBA (specialization in accounting or Finance) designation
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial services and/or consulting firm
  • Experience in the public investment management industry reporting would be an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and aptitude for learning
  • Ability to work under tight monthly and quarterly reporting deadlines while managing multiple projects and deliverables
  • Ability to liaise effectively with different business units and supporting functions
  • High level of organization, energy, and initiative in a fast-paced environment
  • Good presentation and business writing skills
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset; required if the successful candidate is in Québec
  • Advanced proficiency in financial reporting tools including Anaplan, Smartview (1STOP/1EXP/1KFM), and Infor
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of cost centres is a strong plus
