About the role

  • Senior Financial Analyst managing NAV, valuations, cash flows, and fund accounting for Manulife, a global financial services provider. Supporting audits, transactions, and process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review daily, monthly, and quarterly Fund Administration deliverables
  • Prepare and aid in review of NAV, Valuation, and TA processes, including Ownership, Capital Queue, Capital Calls, and Distributions
  • Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting activities and financial statements according to accounting standards
  • Conduct comprehensive business-focused variance analysis and prepare variance commentaries
  • Reconcile and escalate issues between the Administrator and Internal Book of Record
  • Create and monitor cash flow projections
  • Prepare cash call and distribution instructions
  • Provide internal and external audit support by gathering financial information
  • Assist in accounting for acquisitions and dispositions and participate in due diligence as required
  • Identify opportunities to improve quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of team deliveries
  • Improve processes and participate in special projects
  • Prepare and review financial accounting working papers, including follow-ups and resolutions
  • Collaborate with multiple teams and contribute to service excellence

Requirements

  • Undergraduate/Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Partial/Completion of Professional accounting designation (CPA) is a plus
  • 2–3 years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in private equity, funds, or real estate
  • Private Equity Fund administration experience is a plus
  • Competencies and experience in accounting standards, finance, audit, management, and advanced financial and business-focused reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Investran, Workiva, and Yardi experience is an asset
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Effective time management and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities
  • Ability to prioritize workload
  • Willingness to learn in a dynamic environment involving new ideas and change
  • Ability to work well with multiple teams
