About the role
- Senior full-stack engineer building production web applications for Mecka AI’s robotics and embodied-AI data infrastructure. Owning frontend, backend, AI integrations, and operational workflows end to end.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications for data labeling, data capture, and country/operations management
- Design clean, fast, and intuitive interfaces for non-technical users and international teams
- Build and iterate on backend services using Node.js with Express/Fastify and/or Python with FastAPI/Django
- Implement permissions, retries, data integrity, and background workflows for data-heavy operations
- Integrate AI capabilities into internal tools, including automated data validation, normalization, workflow triggers, search, and internal tooling
- Work with prompt-based systems and structured LLM integrations alongside research and operations teams
- Take features from design and implementation through testing and deployment
- Monitor, debug, and improve production performance and reliability
- Work directly with operators, data teams, and senior engineers to turn operational requirements into reliable software
Requirements
- 5–7 years of professional experience building and maintaining full-stack web applications in production environments
- Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript, React, and modern web frameworks
- Hands-on experience developing REST/GraphQL APIs with Node.js and/or Python
- Practical experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and ORMs
- Active daily use of AI development tools such as Cursor, Copilot, and Claude
- Ability to work across the stack to ship features and troubleshoot issues independently
- Experience building internal tools, dashboards, or workflow-heavy applications
- Comfort working with non-technical stakeholders to clarify feature requirements
- Experience or exposure to AWS, GCP, or Azure and CI/CD, Docker
- Basic experience or strong curiosity regarding AI/LLM API integrations, prompt engineering, document extraction, or vector search
- Experience with data pipelines, ETL workflows, or data-intensive operations
- Prior experience in consulting, client-facing roles, or fast-paced startup environments
- Familiarity with mobile development using React Native or design systems
