About the role

  • Product Manager leading Canadian rare disease portfolio strategy and marketing for Medison, a global biotech partnership company. Driving launches, digital campaigns, stakeholder insights, and cross-functional execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the cross-functional therapeutic area team to implement the Canadian brand strategy for the Rare Disease product portfolio
  • Collaborate with the Business Unit Director and cross-functional partners
  • Develop cross-functional tactical plans and ensure execution of marketing tactics
  • Initiate and lead projects supporting products across their life cycle, including launch
  • Monitor digital marketing trends and oversee online advertising and email marketing campaigns
  • Establish and execute short- and long-term business goals aligned with partner manufacturers’ visions
  • Generate and consolidate stakeholder insights through advisory boards, consultancy meetings, and market research
  • Engage key healthcare professionals to understand patient journey challenges and opportunities and develop advocates
  • Support sales-team training on brand strategy, product messaging, and materials
  • Manage agency partners and ensure on-budget, timely deliverables
  • Collaborate with the medical and regulatory review committee to ensure compliance with company SOPs and external-use material approvals
  • Perform administrative duties, including expense and marketing reports
  • Work within regulatory and legal compliance guidelines

Requirements

  • Commercial experience in healthcare/biopharmaceuticals
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in biopharmaceutical marketing
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in biopharmaceutical sales, with a focus on specialty products and institutional sales
  • Rare Disease experience strongly preferred
  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree; preference for Science, HealthCare, or Business
  • Strong leadership and ability to influence without authority across functional stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple cross-functional stakeholders
  • Leads by example and demonstrates partnership and collaboration with partners and external counterparts
  • Passion for improving patient outcomes and making a difference in rare/ultra rare diseases
  • Flexibility to changing priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • Ability to work independently under tight timelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation delivery, and interpersonal skills
  • Persuasive, solution-oriented approach to articulate value propositions and negotiate commitment
  • Ability to identify opportunities to achieve superior results
  • Experience developing digital programs and marketing channel solutions
  • Excellent scientific acumen and knowledge of product development, regulatory, market access, clinical, and medical affairs
  • Knowledge of marketplace regulations and industry promotional policy
  • Solid compliance mindset and demonstrated integrity
  • French language is an asset
  • Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally, up to 25% of the time
  • Occasional evening and weekend work required
