About the role
- Financial Analyst supporting budgets, forecasting, reporting, and strategic insights for Minto, a Canadian housing and community developer. Improving FP&A models, cash flow reporting, and automation.
Responsibilities
- Support development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans with analysis for management and Board reporting
- Challenge existing processes and implement innovative approaches for data collection, reporting, and analysis
- Analyze financial and operational results and identify key performance drivers
- Create compelling commentary for leadership
- Maintain and enhance monthly cash flow reporting and ensure accuracy and completeness
- Assist in financial close and consolidation activities
- Provide analytical support to FP&A initiatives
- Investigate trends and assess performance
- Enhance forecasting and reporting processes through scalable models, streamlined templates, and automation using advanced Excel, Power BI, and similar tools
- Report to the Team Lead, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or accounting
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis
- Familiarity with financial statements and consolidation concepts
- Experience with OneStream, Workiva, Power BI, or Yardi is an asset
