About the role
- Financial Controller improving profitability analysis, reporting, and finance automation for a Québec technology/services company. Leading dashboards, budgeting, systems, and finance-team support.
Responsibilities
- Design and prepare financial and operational analyses to support management in making strategic decisions.
- Analyze profitability by project, client, and team, as well as costs and margins, to support pricing decisions.
- Design, produce, and maintain the organization’s KPIs and dashboards.
- Administer financial systems and implement new technology tools.
- Lead improvement and automation projects, including those involving artificial intelligence.
- Support the month-end close and variance analysis for month-end financial statements.
- Participate in the development of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Collaborate on contract oversight, legal compliance, and the supervision and development of the finance team.
Requirements
- You hold a CPA designation and have 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
- You have comprehensive knowledge of the full accounting cycle.
- You have strong analytical and synthesis skills.
- You are rigorous, self-directed, and highly attentive to detail.
- You are proficient with technology tools, particularly Zoho Analytics, Power BI, and LLMs.
- An interest in applying AI to finance is an asset.
- You demonstrate leadership, the ability to mentor a team, and the capacity to act as interim head of finance.
- Experience in a services or technology company is an asset.
