About the role
- Configuration Technician maintaining product variants and validation rules for New Flyer, North America’s heavy-duty transit bus leader. Reviewing engineering documentation and testing Teamcenter configurator accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain all Product offering variants within the database and establish rules to ensure accuracy of allowable variants
- Review engineering documents for implementation of variants in the Product Configurator
- Create, maintain, and ensure the accuracy of product libraries
- Run validation tests within the Product Configurator to ensure accuracy of rules against allowable variants
- Work closely with Engineering to evaluate applicability of new option variants for implementation within the Product Configurator
- Participate in process improvement activities to improve efficiencies and increase configurability
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Post secondary education in the field of engineering
- 2-3 years of experience in an engineering environment
- Intermediate/Advanced proficiency with Microsoft products including Excel, PowerBI, SharePoint Online and Power Automate (MS Flow)
- Knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter and Oracle application is an asset
- Knowledge of Product Configurator applications is an asset
- Strong/effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- High level attention to detail
